Raanan is global co-head and co-chief investment officer of Alternative Investments & Manager Selection (AIMS) within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. AIMS invests in leading private equity, hedge fund, real estate, ESG, credit and public market managers, investing as a limited partner, secondary-market investor, seed-capital provider, co-investor or management company partner. Prior to his current role, Raanan served as head of Direct Alternatives for Goldman Sachs Asset Management and global co-head of Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, a position he held since the group’s inception in 2007. Prior to that, he was co-head of the Goldman Sachs Principal Strategies Group beginning in 2003 and later became sole head of the group until 2007. Raanan joined Goldman Sachs in 1993 as an associate in Equities Arbitrage. He was named managing director in 1999 and partner in 2000. Raanan earned an AB, summa cum laude, phi beta kappa, from Princeton University in 1989 and a JD/MBA, Stone scholar, beta gamma sigma, specializing in Finance from Columbia University in 1993.

Mendy Haas is the Chief Financial Officer of Third Point LLC, an event driven hedge fund based in New York. Before coming to Third Point, Mr. Haas was the Chief Financial Officer for DiMaio Ahmad Capital, a fixed income asset manager. Previously, he worked at Tiber Asset Management as a Vice‐President responsible for the firm’s financial and tax reporting, and at Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Haas holds a joint J.D./M.B.A. from Fordham University and a B.S. in Accounting from Brooklyn College.

Reed Rayman is a Partner in private equity at Apollo and focuses on investments in the technology and media sectors. Reed serves as Chairman of the Board of Yahoo! and additionally sits on the Board of Directors of Western Digital, Shutterfly, ADT Security, Coinstar and EcoATM. Reed was also involved in Apollo’s April 2020 COVID-period rescue financings for Expedia and Cimpress. Prior to joining Apollo in 2010, Reed was a member of the Principal Strategies Group at Goldman Sachs, and previously was a member of the Industrials Investment Banking group at Goldman Sachs.
Reed graduated from Harvard with an AB in Economics. He is a Vice Chair of the Private Equity Executive Council of the UJA Federation of New York and a board member of New Visions for Public Schools, and was previously actively involved as a mentor and Young Professionals Board member at the TEAK Fellowship. He lives in New York with his wife and 3 kids.

Richard Schottenfeld is the founder and Chairman of Schottenfeld Group holding, the parent company of Koyote Capital which is a proprietary trading firm in New York City. He has also served as the general partner of Schottenfeld Associates and the Schottenfeld Opportunity Fund. Steven Starker is a Co-Founder of BTIG and Co-Chairman of the BTIG Group. He co-founded BTIG in 2005 and Bass Trading, a predecessor company of BTIG, in 2003. In his current role, Mr. Starker is responsible for leading the firm’s strategic direction. Part of a leadership team that believes in actively servicing clients, he helps drive BTIG’s business development efforts from his pivotal seat on the institutional equities trading desk. Mr. Starker has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. Previously, he spent three years at Goldman Sachs as a partner within the Equity Trading division. Earlier in his career, Mr. Starker was a Co-Chief Executive Officer and Partner of the Capital Markets division of Spear, Leeds & Kellogg, until its acquisition by Goldman Sachs in 2000. He began his career with Spear, Leeds & Kellogg in 1987 as an Institutional Sales Trader and Market Maker. Mr. Starker earned his BA from Muhlenberg College.

Avi Elishis is a Managing Director at BTIG and has been at the Firm in that capacity for 14 years . He specializes in Block and Distressed trading on the Equity desk and assists hedge funds with capital raising, trading and other prime brokerage functions.. Prior to joining BTIG, Avi worked at Jefferies & Co for 9 years in various ECM and Sales Trading roles. Avi received a B.A. in Finance from Yeshiva University.
