The Deepest Pain Is Feeling Alone

Dear Friend,

“How can I alone carry your troubles, your burdens, and your quarrels?”

This timeless question, asked by Moshe Rabbeinu in this week’s parsha, has never felt more relevant.

Because let’s be honest - so many are carrying more than they can hold.
Pain behind quiet smiles. Addiction that hides in plain sight.
Mental health struggles whispered only in the dark. Abuse no one ever suspected.

Too often, that pain goes unseen. Unheard. Or worse - ignored.
But Moshe didn’t stay silent. He didn’t pretend to be fine.
He asked for help. He built support. He named the pain.

As we approach Tisha B’Av—a day rooted in the cries of loneliness, of destruction, and of exile - Zvi Gluck reminds us that our healing starts with radical love. With looking around and asking:

Who’s carrying a burden I haven’t noticed? Who needs to hear they’re not alone?
At Amudim, that’s exactly what we do. Every phone call answered. Every case managed. Every life saved - is a modern act of rebuilding.

Because the Beis Hamikdash won’t be rebuilt with bricks. It will be rebuilt with Ahavas Chinam. With seeing someone in pain - and choosing to stand beside them.

So this Shabbos, this Tisha B’Av - pause. Look closer. Reach out.
Because healing begins with one soul at a time. And we can only do this - together.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Amudim is just a phone call away and here to help.
